By using the Course or by registering as a newsletter recipient, you provide us with your personal information. We pay a great importance to their protection and we care about your privacy. The document you are reading contains information about the principles under which we process your personal data and the rights that you have as a result. This document reflects the requirements of (EU) 2016/679 Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (general regulation on data protection) (hereinafter: “RODO/GDPR”).

II. Purpose and legal basis for the processing of personal data Making the purchase of the Course and registering the account on the Course page https://www.englishfordietetics.com Personal data that you provide us by purchasing the course and registering on the Course page, i.e. name, surname, date of birth, gender, your address, e-mail address, telephone number, company name (if you make a purchase for the company) NIP number ( if you make a purchase for the company’s needs) are processed: 1. to the extent necessary to establish, shape the content, change, solve and correctly implement services provided electronically; 2. to operate and ensure the operation of your user account on the course website 3. to consider complaints submitted by you and to return benefits in the event of withdrawal from the contract; 4. to handle other requests or inquiries that you can direct to us.
Personal data that you entrust to us by registering as a recipient of the Newsletter on the Course website, i.e., your e-mail address, are processed in order to perform the contract for the delivery of the Newsletter. In each of the above cases, the legal basis for data processing is, to a large extent, the necessity to perform the contract you enter into with the course provider or take action to conclude it (Article 6 paragraph 1 letter b). In addition, in order to comply with the obligations imposed on us by law, e.g., by the Accounting Act or tax regulations (e.g. issuing invoices and documents and accounting documents), we will also process your data regarding transactions made as part of the purchase of the Course and information from the account user. We can also process your data in order to fulfill our obligation to use the so-called principles of accountability, that is, the Supplier’s obligation to demonstrate compliance with the provisions on the protection of personal data. In the cases mentioned in this paragraph, the legal basis for the processing of the abovementioned data is a legal obligation imposed on us (Article 6 (1) (c) of the GDPR). We will also process the following data based on the legitimate interest of the Course Provider (Article 6.1.1 f) of the GDPR):
-Your data about your purchases to establish or assert claims by us, as well as to defend against such claims (our legitimate interest includes the possibility of protecting the interests of the Supplier of the Course using the means provided for by law); – Your data provided in the question, complaint or suggestion to answer your questions, complaints or suggestions (our legitimate interest includes the ability to respond to customer questions, complaints and suggestions); – Your data indicated in the questionnaire, which we can ask you to fill in to test our clients’ satisfaction and determine the quality of our service (our legitimate interest includes the possibility of obtaining information in order to improve customer service standards). – Your data, as well as data of other users of the Course in order to conduct research and statistical analysis and to improve the services and goods we offer (our legally legitimate interest includes the possibility of obtaining information to improve our business) – Your data, as well as other users of the Course, to ensure the security of services provided by us electronically, including counteracting possible abuse or fraud (our legitimate interest includes ensuring the safety of services, including the prevention of fraud and abuse). -Your data regarding the invitation to you to participate in the loyalty program (our legally legitimate interest includes conducting marketing activities). III. Information about profiling To learn about your personal preferences and behaviors in order to provide you with information about products, news and promotions that we think may interest you, we will create your customer profile. In order to create it we will process personal data provided by you in the registration form, information related to your activity within the user account, frequency of user account usage, your opinions and suggestions, history of our communication. It also means that we will use the information we have about you to determine what kind of offer or messages may be attractive to you and our other clients. We will also process data from your customer profile for direct marketing purposes (i.e. to inform you about products, news and promotions). In this case, the legal basis for data processing is the legitimate interest of the data controller – activity in the field of direct marketing of products offered by the Course Provider (Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR). If you agree to optimally adapt our offer to your needs, we will make decisions about the selection of: advertisements displayed to you, products presented during the ordering process, information about products and services, promotions and discounts offered to you, offered by the Course Provider, based solely on automated data processing, including profiling, including your purchase-related information Courses, data provided in registration, update or activation forms, activity information, including information about the products you purchased, location information and browsing history, and also based on statistical models. In this case, the legal basis for data processing is the consent of the data subject (Article 6 (1) (a) of the RODO). This means, for example, that taking into account the information we have about you, we will automatically prepare dedicated information about your products and services, promotions and discounts offered by the Supplier and, if you agree, inform you about it by email, notification push or SMS. If you agree to receive marketing information from us, including sending commercial information via e-mail, your personal data (in particular an e-mail address or phone number) will be processed by us also to provide you with information about our store, offer and promotions. IV. Recipients of personal data
We will pass your data to entities that act on our behalf, i.e. service providers and IT solutions, marketing agencies, entities providing accounting, financial, insurance and administrative services, entities conducting customer satisfaction surveys, public authorities, including courts, at their reasonable request, to public authorities, including courts and proxies, insurers and advisers, if it is necessary to defend the Supplier of the Course against claims or to seek compensation from the Supplier of the Course.
If you decide to make a payment through one of the cooperating entities servicing electronic payments, we will share your data including (name, surname, number and value of the order, IP number, email address, phone number, your customer ID assigned to you by the payment service provider) this entity to process your payment.
We will not transfer your personal data to third countries (ie outside the European Economic Area).
V. The period of processing your personal data
To the extent that your personal data is processed by us for the purposes of your purchase transactions, we will process them for the duration of the contract for such transaction, but we may extend this period for a period of limitation of your or our claims, if the processing of these data will be necessary to establish or enforce claims, as well as to defend against such claims.
To the extent that your personal data is processed by us for the purpose of running and servicing your user account or for making you available to the Newsletter, we will process it until you cancel your account created as part of the course, or opt out of the Newsletter. We may extend this period for a period of limitation of your or our claims if the processing of such data is necessary to establish or enforce claims, as well as to defend against such claims.
To the extent that your personal data is processed for the purpose of complying with our legal obligations (eg from the Accounting Act or tax regulations), we will process them for a period resulting from such provisions (e.g. for your billing purposes data will be stored for 5 years counting from the end of the calendar year in which the payment deadline for the tax related to the order or transaction expired).
To the extent that your personal information is processed for the performance of our legitimate interests, including (i) creating your client profile to provide you with marketing information, and (ii) marketing communications, we will process it for the duration of a legitimate interest, unless you exercise your right and object to the processing of this data for marketing purposes.
To the extent that your personal data is processed for the performance of our legitimate interests, i.e. establish and pursue claims or defend against claims, answer your question, complaint or suggestion, as well as test our clients’ satisfaction and determine the quality of our services, we will process them for the duration of our legitimate interest (in particular until the claims have expired), unless you exercise your right and object to the processing of these data due to your specific situation, and we will not be able to demonstrate the existence of valid legitimate interests the basis for processing these master data against your rights, or the basis for determining, investigating or defending claims.
VI. Your rights in connection with the processing of personal data
In relation to the processing by the Supplier of the course of your personal data, you have the following rights:
– Right to obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data, as well as the right to obtain access to such data and copies thereof. – Right to request correction (correction) or supplement your personal data if incomplete or incorrect. – The right to request restricting the processing of your personal data (if you question the correctness of your personal data processed by us, processing your personal data is against the law, but you oppose the deletion of these data requesting instead of restricting their use, we do not need your personal data anymore) for the fulfillment of our purposes, but they are needed for you to establish, investigate or defend claims, or you object to the processing of your personal data by us due to your particular situation – in which case you may request a restriction of the processing of such data by us if our legitimate interests are overriding the grounds of your objection) – in the case of limiting the processing of your personal data, we will be able to store them and additionally use only to establish, assert or defend claims, for the purpose of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for important reasons of public interest of the Union or a Member State, and we will only be able to undertake other activities with your consent. – The right to request the deletion of your personal data (if, for example, your personal data is no longer necessary to achieve the purposes for which you have collected and processed, if you withdraw your consent to their processing, and there is no other basis for processing by us, if you object to the processing of your personal data by us due to your special situation, and we have no grounds for processing that would take precedence over your objection, you object to their processing by us for marketing purposes, we processed your personal data unlawfully) . – Data transfer right: As your data is processed in an automated way on the basis of consent or contract, you have the right to receive from us your data that you provided to us on the basis of consent or contract, in a structured, publicly available format machine-readable (e.g. readable on a computer). – Opposition to marketing (creating customer profile and marketing communication): To the extent that the basis for processing your data for direct marketing purposes (creating your customer profile and marketing communication) is our legitimate interest, you have the right to bring at any time object to our processing of your data for these purposes. – Opposition due to your special situation: To the extent that the basis for processing your data by us is our legitimate interest (other than direct marketing), you have the right to object at any time to the processing of these data for reasons related to your particular situation, indicating at the same time this particular situation, which in your opinion justifies the cessation of processing by us of your data covered by the objection. – withdrawal of consent for data processing: To the extent that your data will be processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke it at any time, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the processing operations performed by us on the basis of consent before its withdrawal. – withdrawal of consent for marketing communication: You can withdraw your consent for marketing communication at any time. – Law for human intervention: If – on the basis of your consent – you are subject to decisions based solely on the automated processing of your data, you have the right to express your position at any time, challenge the decision taken in this way and demand human intervention, i.e. inclusion of a responsible person on behalf of the Course Provider in making decisions as to the marketing content, offers, etc. addressed to you.

Complaint to the supervisory body: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the body dealing with the protection of personal data (the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection) if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the provisions of the GDPR. VII. Consequences of not providing personal data
Providing personal data is voluntary, however, failure to provide some personal data (identity or address data) may prevent us from providing you services electronically. For this reason, providing basic data (user’s identity, e-mail address) is necessary for the provider to provide services on your behalf.
Not submitting the required data in order to receive the Newsletter will make it impossible to send the Newsletter.
Not providing the data required at the stage of registering the user account of the Course will prevent the registration of the user’s account. VIII. Information about automated decision making (applies to people who have given their consent)
Automated decision making serves the optimal adaptation of our offer to your needs. The Supplier will make decisions about the selection of advertisements displayed to you, suggested (suggested) products when placing an order, information about products and services, promotions and discounts offered by the Course Provider, based only on automated data processing, including profiling, including Your data related to the Course, updating or activation activities, information about the activity, including information about the Courses you have acquired, location information and browsing history, as well as statistical models. For your safety, remember: – setting a login and password for your customer account that would not easily guess them by third parties. In particular, we recommend using a string of characters and numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters and a special character in the password; – keeping the login and password for the client’s account confidential, including in particular not sending the data (login, password) to any third parties; – using antivirus programs, including regular scanning of disks for viruses; – using the Course only through trusted computers on which only proven software has been installed. Using someone else’s computers creates the risk of intercepting the login, password or other data you provide;

Technical information – cookies When you use the Course on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) small files (in particular text files) are saved, containing information necessary for the correct use of the Course. cookies.
